What AI CANNOT do
AI cannot: understand FOR you, guarantee that its answers are correct, replace your own thinking, build your memory (only YOU can do that through active recall), or know what you specifically need to study. AI generates text that SOUNDS confident — but it can be wrong, outdated, or misleading. It does not 'know' anything. It predicts likely text.
The 'study first, AI second' rule
The most important rule: always try the work YOURSELF first. Struggle with the problem. Attempt the answer. THEN use AI to check, explain, or extend. If you start with AI, you skip the struggle — and the struggle is where learning happens. 'Study first, AI second' means: your brain does the work, AI supports the work.

Always verify AI answers
AI can be wrong. It sometimes 'hallucinates' — confidently states things that are not true. Before trusting any AI answer: (1) Check it against your textbook. (2) Does it match what your teacher taught? (3) Can you verify it with a second source? (4) Does it make logical sense? If you cannot verify it, do not use it.
