Days of the week
There are 7 days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. In English, days are ALWAYS capitalised (start with a capital letter). This is different from Tamil.

Months of the year
There are 12 months: January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December. Like days, months are always capitalised in English.

Telling the time
'O'clock' means exactly on the hour: 'It is 3 o'clock.' 'Half past' means 30 minutes after: 'It is half past 4' means 4:30. 'Quarter past' means 15 minutes after. 'Quarter to' means 15 minutes before.
- 3:00 → It is 3 o'clock
- 4:30 → It is half past 4
- 5:15 → It is quarter past 5
- 6:45 → It is quarter to 7
'O'clock' = சரியான மணி. 'Half past' = அரை மணி கழித்து. 'Quarter past' = கால் மணி கழித்து. 'Quarter to' = கால் மணி முன்.
Ordinal numbers for dates
For dates, use ordinal numbers: 1st (first), 2nd (second), 3rd (third), 4th (fourth), 5th (fifth)... Most numbers just add '-th': 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th. Example: 'March 5th' or 'the 5th of March'.
